Single doctor practice well established in small community
Single doctor well established veterinary hospital searching for an associate that would partner with us to care for a generally great group of clients and their pets. Companion animal only, sort of. We do get the occasional chicken, pig or pony that needs our attention. We provide internal medicine as well as a range of soft tissue surgeries and minimal ortho surgeries. We also stay busy with grooming and boarding patients. In house diagnostics include, Zoetis Chemistry and Hematology, Imagyst, Ultrasound, DR Digital Radiography and Endoscopy. Ae also offer an online pharmacy to our clients.
Located in a small college town with a typical midwest farming community atmosphere. Many outdoor recreational opportunities available as well as larger cities within a short drive for added entertainment and shopping.
The team member we are looking for will be people oriented with an easy-going approach to life. We are not rigid or stuffy with our clients. We know our clients and their families almost as well as their pets. Our clients also understand that we all have our own families and lives outside of the hospital. Not opposed to new students getting some short term experience, but the perfect candidate would be someone that will fall in love with the area and our clients create a future for themselves.
Experience is a plus but Doc loves teaching. We typically have 1 or 2 prevet students from the local university in clinic many days of the year. We also understand everyone does their thing a little different. We may learn some tricks from you and you may learn some from us. A 4-day work week and a morning shift every 3rd Saturday is expected. After hours availability every third week is also expected for existing clients in good standing only. However, your family comes first and our clients understand that fact.
Compensation is negotiable but would begin with a base salary for the first year, then base plus production in the following years. CE and trip expenses will be reimbursed. Supplemental insurance is provided through Aflac.
